Authenticate pop up disappears

hello. I’m attempting to install linux-macbook through pamac GUI and getting an authentication failed error. the password entry box flashes on the screen and then disappears, it doesn’t give me a chance to enter password

Try it through terminal because GUI applications like pamac can be full of bugs that aren't present in the terminal

hey guys I figured out the package install but now I can’t do anything with root permissions in gui, when I try to move a file to a root directory the authentication box pops up momentarily and disappears before letting me enter a password. I can use CLI but would like to get this GUI root permission thing fixed as it’s causing inconveniences in my workflow. how to solve the disappearing authentication box problem?

Paru seems faster as written in rust I think but just make a paru=yay alias lol. I currently have a yeet=paru -Rns alias and an rsyncbackup alias​:wink:
