Asking advice on Installing Sway on XFCE

I was wondering, if installing Sway(window managers) along with XFCE would cause issues as installing Desktop-environments like Gnome or KDE.
I just wanted to give window managers a try, without going through the hassle of installing a new OS and to be frank i dont have the space to install another partition and my previous hard disk got corrupted after 7 years and the SATA market is way too pricey at this point here to buy a new one.

Hey. If you are worried, you can always use sway on a different user account as your current account. This separates any config files or impact sway may have on your existing desktop environment.

Sir i tried that so i wanted to install the relevant packages from gitlab/garuda/sway/packages desktop and garuda-sway-settings but it conflicts with garuda-xfce-settings adn someone said that this change will not only reflect in the user but overallin the xfce environment even in the other user so i am confused.

hi,

did you try to install the sway-git version over paru? then logout and see if you can login in sway… i dont have any garuda…settings installed at general. Run a few de's or wm's. may you need more packages you can install with pacseek too.

To be honest i am trying to install the sway and relevant packages of garuda sway right now, it seems like the only greetd and garuda sway-settings will cause conflicts and problems right now but what i am trying to do is to actually recreate the config of fresh install of garuda sway here. And as i said i am a noob in this so i just wanted to ask my doubts to the community and clarify before trying and breaking my system as i have my coding projects on this installed file system.

Maybe you just try in a VM and see if anything breaks. If you worried about and learn before doing on bare metal .
There is a topic how to install every spin

Thanks i guess i will try that but i am also thinkin to install garuda-sway version parallely but then it hit me that it might also have problems since the EFI boot folder would conflict and the installer might overwrite the previously existing installation. SO now i am looking how to migrate the existing EFI boot drive to new renamed folder and how to update that in grub config and boot.
