Are you considering an X11-based variant of Dragonized Gaming?

Because Wayland is not really good for gaming. Not only it has trouble with nVidia, but also most games don’t natively support Wayland so they run via XWayland, which adds another overhead, and that’s just for native Linux games, with Wine/Proton it complicates stuff even further. I don’t care what kind of Xserver would be used, but would like an X11 variant of Garuda Dragonized Gaming.

I really want to distrohop, but as a gamer, youtuber, and streamer (admittedly not that successful in the case of the last two) as well as a gamedev, I need to be able to run my games as good as my hardware allows. Which means X11 instead of Wayland.

You can always install and use the plasma x11 session at any time.

Yeah, but I don’t want to mess my system up (since it’s technically “Arch, btw” it’s much easier to do so than in other distros). Plus, I want it as lean as possible from the getgo.

//edit: Now that I think about it, it wouldn’t even have to be separate ISO, just an option during the installation whether the user prefers X11, Wayland, or both.

In that case, the gaming edition is the wrong edition for you. It includes a lot of software you will probably never need.

sudo pacman -S plasma-x11-session there’s not really much that you can do wrong.

I mean in the terms of underlying services, etc. As I’ve said in OP, I’m a gamer so probably will be using OBS, Steam, etc. all the time.

You can install the X11 session with the instructions I have given you. You can then switch to it from the login screen.
