App Crash when i try starting it, either through gui or terminal

Hi all,

I have an issue where apps fail to launchin this case its sunshine:

error while loading shared libraries: libboost_locale.so.1.83.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I found a previous post with an older version, and its states that I should ping the team, not sure if this is the case here.

One change of note, is that I upgraded the Pc recently and reinstalled
the system, I remmember choosing zen1 kernel, and I did notice the
install started being a bit gimmicky. Apps began to fail to start, Steam games
that worked previously stopped working, (RE4) of note.
steam games started making problems when they are in a secondary drive, I dont know if its related.
Or if I am missing something.
I mostly got everything in order but this issue with libbost, is giving me
a headache.

I already tried a reinstall of the packages.

Wait for the sunshine fix/update, the app asks for an old version.

If the packages need a library, but the library failed, what do you think a reinstallation from the app will fix it?

Garuda team can’t fix it.

Just in case. This means a reboot is pending after the last update.

Was able to reproduce the error, seems to be an issue with the version on the choatic-aur.

Using the appimage version from the sunshine github works fine. Also the flatpack from the Software center installs and runs fine so I would try those versions if you need it now.

I was on it as well and here it is an issue with Wayland.
when i switch to dx11 Sunshine works fine.
on wayland appimage does start but dioesnt work and wants me to set cap with a command that doesnt work.

i mostly use the octopi so installing from there didnt help.

I rebooted the MAchine post update as well.

I also tried older appimages just to make sure.

Edit, to clarify with appimage it does start but it cannot stream. it just fails to encode and start the streamt through the client.

Looks like the latest lib updates that were pushed recently fixed the issue with the chaotic-aur version of sunshine. Try that one again.
