Say I want to search “dreamryca” in the Dolphin. It returns what I expect:
If I just type “ca“, the files won’t be searched:
If I disable Baloo, Dolpin searches well. What search engine should I use?
There may be a minimum number of characters(or maximum number of results) since baloo is made to index the content of the files, not just the filenames. I have not tested that though.
You can use something other than baloo for indexing your documents, but it won’t be integrated as seamlessly.

if you are in the directory type / then your search terms. its better then the “find” version 9 time out of 10. why that is you would have to ask KDE.
