After using dd clone drive the new NVME SSD will not boot as long as the old SATA SSD is connected, Im guessing the grub is confused about which partition to boot as looking at the uuid of the partitions they are identical for both drives.
I think you should update your /etc/fstab with the new UUIDs.
Boot from the live USB, mount the new drive and update fstab.
Then, use chroot button from Garuda Assistant and inside the chroot update-grub.

In that case assign new UUID to the cloned SSD and update fstab entry with it.

Thanks that did it.
Also how reliable is dd? I have the new NVME drive working but i am hesitant to format the old SATA drive for use as storage.
