I mean sure, you can watch Distrowatch rankings, but given its easy to fake rankings (hello Mx Linux, have I ever heard of it anywhere else but DIstrowatch? Nope, not at all 
) and that they push the paying ones, its not a real indication for success anyways.
To be honest, I also feel like there are much less people in the forum who can’t even follow the help issue templates since Distrowatch rankings dropped. It is probably also attributed to having less frequent releases (which causes news websites to post about it) 
I can’t care less, and forum participation has been quite stable throughout the last year (the spike should be the last release?). What else can we ask for?

once a day, they are estimated more than 40 000, or just the over 8 000 forum users, we will see if the ranking really change.

Since they have advertising on the site, this will be a bearable month for them.
