Xf86-input-synaptics conflict error

Have to say before I ask my question that I have been using Garuda for almost a month
and I absolutely love it. Truly happy that I found this new distro.

Anyway, when trying to run an update tonight I get this message:

:: Starting full system upgrade...
resolving dependencies...
looking for conflicting packages...
:: garuda-input and xf86-input-synaptics are in conflict. Remove xf86-input-synaptics? [y/N] n
error: unresolvable package conflicts detected
error: failed to prepare transaction (conflicting dependencies)
:: garuda-input and xf86-input-synaptics are in conflict

Should I just go ahead and remove xf86-input-synaptics or is there a better way of handling
this? Thank you in advance for any and all help.

Also -- using MATE lite

On i3wm I use garuda-input and it work.
Try it, if it does not work for you, boot last snapshot and use xf86-input-synaptics :slight_smile:

I did as you said (went with garuda-input) and everything is fine.
I'm guessing this happened because I switched to a different mouse.
Anyway, I very much appreciate the super fast response. :grinning:

Well this was due to my mistake

I added xf86-input-synaptics
As a depend of garuda input

Which broke some touchpads

So to remove this driver i added it to conflict.
