Xen virtualization AUR installation conflicting files

Hello -

Successfully compiled the xen packagefile but, when attempting to install, I get a conflict:

error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files)
/usr/lib/xen/bin/qemu-keymap exists in both 'xen' and 'xen-qemu-builtin'

Has anyone seen this before?

Thanks!

This means the file exists in both packages, so you can have one or the other installed. Ideally the AUR package should list the conflict so pacman knows how to deal with it (which is something the AUR package maintainer should do).

Otherwise, you can deal with this yourself by removing the conflicting package before installing the new one.

What I ended up doing was simply adding

build_qemu=false

to makepkg -si.
Presumably it doesn’t build support for qemu in to xen, thus eliminating the conflict.
Thanks everyone for helping!
