Why is the quiet kernel parameter repeated twice

Can someone please tell me why the quiet kernel parameters is repeated twice? I understand that quiet kernel parameter is used to suppress log messages from kernel during startup but why is it issued twice in kernel parameters in garuda?

I have trying to look this up but couldn't find the reason for it.

Repeating the kernel parameter is a workaround specific to Plymouth. For some reason, Plymouth expects the quiet parameter to be present twice in the kernel command line.

I also wondered why the parameter was listed twice when I first saw it, and actually initially assumed it was a mistake. After I took one out, the Plymouth splash screen would no longer display while booting--oops! :face_with_head_bandage:

2 quiets means it's extra super quiet vs normal quiet. :wink:
