I would never recommend Arch to an inexperienced, non-technical person, blonde or otherwise, but it is nice to see I’ve stirred a hornet’s next. 
A nice Tablet running Android–that’s my recommendation.

Agreed! I too am strongly in the android/chromebook camp for this usecase, but I think I’d also include custom android distros like blissos in there as well, and not just big commercial offerings.
