Waybar errors after first update [Fixed, just reporting]

This is actually a SOLVED issue, but I thought reporting it may be helpful .

(Also it happened with me for seconnd time, so I thought I would create a thread. I also am confused as to in which category this thread should be in…)

After installing Hyprland (Website ISO) and updating, on first reboot waybar throws some errors.

Config error in file /home/archit/.config/hypr/hyprland.conf at line 1 : Invalid config line
Config error in file /home/archit/.config/hypr/hyprland.conf at line 2 : Invalid config line

Config error in file /home/archit/.config/hypr/hyprland.conf at line 111 : special category's first value must be the key. Key for <device> is <name>

The first 5 lines error is for the Autogenerated text in the conf file (all lines inside #). Deleting those lines from the file simply solves the issue but I remember these lines always being there and earlier never seen this issue.

The last error is for the epic mouse V1. For this, I found the solution on Reddit:

device {
    name = epic-mouse-v1
    sensitivity = -0.5
}

Thank you for pointing it.

Better safe than sorry :slight_smile:
The problems you described have been solved for some time now.
They have also been discussed in the forum.

You can find changes in the log in the terminal for updates in garuda-hyprland-settings under /etc/skel/ , these here under /etc/skel/.config/hypr/hyprland.conf.

Have a look :slight_smile:

This error message does not appear for all users, so I have only commented it out.

For the first 5 rows it is just a comment error, fixed with a space after first # :slight_smile:

This is not waybar issue BTW
Hyprland devs have been integrating new stuffs known as Hyprlang in Hyprland
and yeah it gave some wacky experience with comments , like this :

And also some UI smaller glitches :

After all Hyprland is beta :smiley:
