So I’m using Sway with MozillaVPN right now. I have used MozillaVPN before with Fedora and before that with Garuda Gnome and in both cases it worked (sometimes better, sometimes worse) but this error I’m having now I never had (previous errors were more like “program won’t start” or "program won’t compile etc).

This is nmcli without the VPN:

I know little of this, but looks fine to me. Unfortunately, it does not work. It can be enabled normally, but then I do not have internet anymore. It just doesn’t get through, nothing loads, over no program whatsoever. I thought maybe something wrong with the DNS or smth?

I was hoping someone who understands more of this, so more than nothing at all, might have some idea as to what could be the problem here.

Other than that, Sway looks great! Really nicely build.

Edit: Alright, it seems to be a general problem with the AUR-package. I just tried it on my laptop (running “pure” Arch Linux with Plasma) and the same problem occurs there. It occurs with the mozillavpn, mozillavpn-git and mozillavpn-bin package. Hmm…

First → reboot
Garuda Assistent → DNS = default ?
You use a firewall ?
Which Router you have and which version (mozillavpn) you use “standard” , “bin” or git ?
And one question why you spend money for a app ?
There are free alternatives and of course better apps for money. (my mind)

No change. DNS is default. No firewall activated. I tried all three mozillavpn-versions, all show the same behavior. Router is some Vodafone-cable-router. It works fine with Android btw.

Was mostly to support Mozilla as the last free alternative for a browser. But since I got it I use it quite frequently, too.

I put the question here, maybe someone else has the same problem.

It may not help much, but have you tested the versions from the chaotic-aur?

yeah, unfortunately doesn’t work.

It’s probably a mozillavpn-problem anyway and has nothing to do with Garuda, so I’ll try my luck in the AUR discussion. Thanks for the replies guys!
