System Color Scheme not looking as intented after reboot

Hi,
i created a custom color scheme and i also changing the selection color from purple/fucsia(the default one) to yellow.

When i select the theme all look ok, but when i reboot all other color changes are still there except for the selection color, set again to the default one.

upgrading the system hasn't solved the problem.

I tried to look at the files under .local/share/color-schemes/<my_color_scheme> but it seems to be ok.
I also searched on internet, with no success or better understanding of the problem.

Any idea?

Did you try garuda-assistant?

will it reset all customization and tweaks i made?
including the pinned applications in the dock, dock style, keyboard shortcuts, window button placement etc?
Because if yes, i don't want to lose all the customization i made...

I have already tried to restore all latte configs, but nothing changed with the issue

A little late now, but my suggestion would be to always back up your root and home configuration files before any modifications. You root files will always be automatically backed up before any update via a system snapshot. Your home directory however will not.

You should install a dedicated backup program such as BackInTime for this purpose. You can of course also do a manual backup yourself before making any changes to your home directories configuration files. However, it is easy to forget to do, and then you're right back in the same bind as you are now.

Better to simply have automatic backups done for you and not leave things to chance. It's pretty hard to create backups after the fact, so getting a good backup regimen in place now is important (especially for users just learning Linux).
