Symbolic link

I use an application that exceutes the Brave browser. I wrote it using another distro that names the browser “brave-browser” while this distro names it “brave”. I don’t want to rewrite the application just for that change. Is a permanent symbolic link the simplest solution and how do I implement that?

Seriously :expressionless:. Yeah the simplest solution is creating a symlink in /bin/ directory and I am pretty sure this isn’t something hard to search…

https://www.linode.com/docs/guides/linux-symlinks/#how-to-create-a-symbolic-link-in-linux

cd /bin/
sudo ln -s brave brave-browser

Thanks for the link and simple example. I’ll be more inclined to using links in future.

We always mark here the solution and not the implementation.
I fixed it.

I’m learning.

It never ends until the end of life.

I would like to believe that, but experience tells me otherwise. Some people never seem to learn. Even intelligent ones. I don’t want to get into politics, but I think you must know what I mean.
