can you try to enable also the nvidia-powerd.service and try again. other users disable it and works but maybe you need it ?
sudo systemctl enable nvidia-powerd.service (its own nvidia power manager)
also check that you have these packages installed.
sudo pacman -S nvidia nvidia-utils nvidia-settings
