Short intro of shy ol' me

Howdy!

I'm a new Garuda Linux user for 1 week. After breaking my Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS install last week I decided to hop on a new one. What I wanted was a ready-to-use distro to play videogames with no after install troubleshooting, and Arch-based to "justify" the hop. My main choices were Arch (with archinstall), EndeavourOS, and (obviously) Garuda Linux. By the opening of this post my choice should be obvious. :stuck_out_tongue:

I went with Dr460nized Edition and soon fell in love with it. It feels snappy on my system, and despite the 'bloat' reputation, I find it loading everything faster. I also got 4x8GB of RAM XMP'd at 3200MHz, so I don't mind the high idle (I was used to Win10 eating 5-6GB at idle anyway, vs. 2-2.4GB currently). I paid for the whole RAM so I will use the whole RAM! :stuck_out_tongue:

I sincerely hope I will be having a good time on Garuda Linux because I also like the name, haha. I haven't had time to benchmark on games so hopefully it's as good as they say it is.
