I just came to the realisation that I knew a help vampire in real life.
They were a Mac user who initially just wanted help with understanding some things about uni enrolment, assignments and recording Zoom lectures using OBS (you'd be surprised at the number of people who never think to record things on their own terms).
Eventually, they somehow got themselves a virus by downloading a fake OBS.
The last time we talked was when they asked me a question about an assignment. I told them they should be asking the professor these things instead of me, because I'm not the one who marks them.
Y'know, I thought we had a great friendship going. Why did they suddenly stop talking to me??
