Peripheral NEWS!
I have surrendered to my mouse and keyboard. I have a Logitech K800 backlit keyboard & MX Master 2S mouse. It’s a combination I like so well, I replaced the pair a couple of years ago with the same thing (approx.) when they eventually died.
The the Del keys–both–quit and for a while it looked solved–but I guess that was just pre-fail. This morning my MX Master 2S mouse decided to go crazy. It was uncontrollable; went everywhere, altered text–crazy. That was enough!
I ordered a cheap replacement combo. My main concern was backlighting so I can disturb people here at 3 AM. Now–NOW–that the replacement Keyboard/Mouse combo is on the way from Amazon, the mouse has decided it’s sane. I’m using it right now. This MX Mouse itself cost twice as much as the cheap keyboard/mouse combo I ordered.
We shall see what we shall see. I still need a new keyboard, anyway.

Well, aren’t you the lucky one! I regularly replace good equipment with…good equipment, yeah (actually, I bought them used).
The MX Master 2S has decided to work. For now. But I’m retiring it to the Ol’ Mouse Home, along with the weird-functioning maniac keyboard. Besides, I’m having fun playing with all the pretty lights my new mouse & keyboard emit in rainbows & waves.
OTOH, I have a spinner that’s probably older than you. ,

that will happen if you install emacs , I installed it, never was able to edit any stuff in it
so basically, you would be enjoying outside world then
