This layout is the best use of screen space for a desktop IMO, just one panel at the bottom and a classic menubar that is embedded in the window's titlebar. (material-kwin-decoration-git)
I auto-hide the panel and set all windows to be maximized, control-tab all day long.
Sweetified colors so the panel and titlebars contrast and pop out.

exactly the type of theme one needs at 1 AM 
I want this light theme so I can tell people I look into the sun daily. Hand over your resources!
Please keep in mind that I use a 4K setup and therefore the Qtile bar and jgmenu are adjusted for that. Sticking these right in your own .config directory is not a good idea if you don't have such a jank resolution - instead, please only extract the colours and adjust your widgets as necessary.

As for the layout icons (whoops almost forgot about them haha :'D) I lowered their value (Krita HSV, ctrl-U to access the menu) to darken them by -90 for the default ones and -80 for the blue ones.

Have panel and dock in auto-hide. going to look at auto switching wallpaper too to avoid burn-in on my TV

May I humbly suggest the "Vallpaper" plugin, which swaps wallpaper images but also lets you de-saturate and/or tint images. I tint images for the lock screen with about 50% black along with a fairly short display time and burn-in hasn't been an issue, and I still get neat-o pictures.
