Replacing existing ram stick

Hello
I am presently on kde dragonized and I couldn't be more satisfied. However I am on 4 gigs of ram which is kinda too low. I wish to replace it with 8 gigs, can I just do it right away?
considering the fact that it is volatile memory?
Here is my inxi output

Any help?

IDK
Have you this torx 5 Screwdriver?
Is your RAM changeable without soldering iron?

Check on Lenovo page.

By that you mean tools required to change the ram stick?

Yeah I had once removed it and inserted it back, so no worries with that

In that case you should be able to upgrade, you just need to make sure you get the correct type of RAM.

Do you know if you have one RAM slot or two?

What is the output of sudo dmidecode --type 17?

My laptop has a single ram slot

Here is sudo dmidecode --type 17 output
