Hello, and first of all, thank you for this incredible distro that is Garuda.

I was wondering, why while having applied the performance options, memavaild, UResourced, nohang and prelockd are not enabled? Are they causing any problems?

My bad, removed it

No problem, and thanks for changing.
Maybe you will find something here in forum, search for avatar

Hmmm. Is Auto-Cpufreq (sic?) enabled down below? Anyway, your inxi output says you are in performance mode clock-wise with the Intel part. I know nothing anymore about nVidia.

Thanks for your answer. Autocpufreq is not enabled, only power-profiles-daemon is enabled by default in powersafe mode. I don't have any problem I think, I was just wondering why when activating the performance options, some options are not activated, which was the case in my previous Garuda installations

I found a cool one. :grinning:

I have run into this before, myself. It may or may not be related to:

  • Barebones or Dr460nized?
  • Which spin date? I tend to run dev. spins, so the date may be relative.

Garuda’s developers take a very active hand in the distribution. Little changes & tweaks here and there. (We’re just their test bunnies. :rabbit:  )

But if it is performant as-is, I’d just go with it.

Dr460nized :grinning: If I was with the Barebones posting in the newbie section, I would have been yelled at and that’s normal

Like you said, I’m going to leave it as is, since it’s not really a big deal. Thanks for the warm welcome!

Please forgive my “duh” moment.

I only just saw that it was intentionally removed from performance-tweaks. My bad, I should have searched more, but I wonder why these options have been removed

That’s a request. Has it been merged?

Like I said. And I don’t mean to be flippant. These folks crank out a pretty amazing distribution. They got our backs. :+1:

I won’t let anyone say otherwise.

Yes.

  • Remove nohang and his complementary daemons from performance-tweaks
  • Remove uresourced as well, after checking the source code it’s probably giving more problems than solutions.

:+1: At least, next time I’ll be more careful to look at what has been changed on the gitlab before making a topic! But at least it was a good introduction to the Garuda forum and its members. Thanks for all your answers and sorry for the inconvenience!

I think you did a very good job of it. All newcomers should do so good. Welcome to Garuda.

Yep.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. You wanted public acknowledgement for requesting the merge, right? LOLOLOL!
Well, shucks, elder friend, I guess you deserve it.

It is difficult to imagine how quickly you folks respond. All of the Garuda Team deserve the kudos they engender. I'm not really sure any of you sleep.
