Problems with my nvidia driver

I have proprietary nvidia driver but yesterday when i installed it i got driver version/library mismatch or something similar. im very new to garuda linux and never used arch based before. sometimes the UI animations and stuff arent fluid at all and have "Low fps" if that makes sense. its probably not a big deal but i wanna know if other people have that issue and if its fixable. The error is gone now without me doing anything but i still have the problem with the OS lagging sometimes which is weird since i have a very good pc and it should have no issue with graphical stuff at all

Using "~" 3 times above and "~" 3 times below the text block will provide a readable, raw look.

This might be a tad "duh / have you turned it off and on" but have you fired up pamac-manager and searched for nvidia to see which of which packages you have and possibly correct the mismatch?

OT

Your avatar reminds me of one I once made

But mine does not look so martial.

@SGS Just a pic of me out doing some drills and testing some gear.

To the OP. This might be a tad irrelevant but I run Dual GPU, both nVidia. I noticed for a while the older GPU had a lot of the symptoms you mentioned (minus the mismatch warning). Lag, stutter, tearing, window trails. After an update or two it settled and has been as solid as my primary. So I'd again suggest fire up a graphical package manager (just for simplicity) and check to make sure all the packages you have installed are the same version. You could also cheese it and do a forced reinstall to make it rebuild the dkms.

i have no idea what im doing but it looks like i dont even have one installed which is weird cause i think i did when i installed the OS. i only have stuff like utils or settings etc

What you are doing is this evil horrible socially hated thing called learning

If you fired up pamac-manager just install the nVidia 495.44 everthing heh.

Comically the first nVidia result on my machine isn't installed but you could run (and give it a try)
pacman -S nvidia-dkms nvidia-settings nvidia-utils lib32-opencl-nvidia mhwd-nvidia opencl-nvidia
