About what I figured. That list is short compared to the list my roommate gets, but all of our software is running fine.

Occasionally, (but very rarely) if you don't update the file immediately it could result in a broken boot or an inability to login.

How would I get a complete list of programs I let the system build? I know right now Sonarr, Radarr, Lidarr, and Jackett I have no choice but to build if I want them, but I'd bett bottom dollar anything else built can be replaced with a regaular installer, Flatpak, or Snap.
pacman -Qm
will show a list of packages installed which are not in the repositories.
