So I noticed that recently (Im guessing after a pipewire update don't know which) audio recording with pulse via pipewire is broken ( so apps like obs and simple screen recorder no longer are able to caputre audio) anyone else run into this?

for example simple screen recorder crashes with this

Maybe you can use the forum search, first, please.

I did none of the other post seems to be related

Did you check this, no PulseAudio.
But I am not a sound guru

well i'm assuming that's because and drangonized pulseaudio is not installed so that is normal and you can't have both as pipe wire provides pipewire-pulse

found this could be related (and is posted by another garuda user) though it dosn't seem to have been merged to master yet and IDK how to just build it Selecting an output device in OBS results in an input device being captured instead. (#1820) · Issues · PipeWire / pipewire · GitLab

Fixed it edited /usr/share/wireplumber/scripts/policy-node.lua according to how the merge request did and now audio capture works
