Performance issues with wine and proton

I have been having massive performance issues while using proton and wine for the past few days. Game windows dont show up despite the process being there, shaders taking way too long to compile, stutters, etc.

Edit: Did a bit more messing around and issues happen the most when im rendering stuff

Same here. The latest proton update (8.0-4) messed everything up. Game starting with brutal lag, and then freezing. (Proton GE too…) None of my games working fullscreen anymore just in windowed mode. At least for me fullscreen working fine with proton 7.
