Off Topic Chit Chat - (Silliness factor 5)

It’s understandable. But I only thought the video was AI, not the narrator. That’s how most South Africans actually sounds.

I’m not that familiar with your accent, but it just didn’t sound quite right or natural.

I have to admit, the AI’s have come a really long ways in the last year when it comes to mimicking human speech.

Yeah, I’m totally shocked by the capabilities of AI. I’m usually avoid these kind of videos. Somehow I must’ve slipped.

I found and installed this extension, not sure if it will help but it already had some negative effects on the forum and had to whitelist it.

A new Linux Tablet project worth looking into

Got a nice deal on one of these:

Anybody got any experience?

I’ve uninstalled this extension because it’s not doing well, it ends up blocking a lot of media that isn’t AI at all.

I’d be careful letting in any of these new extensions. I think AI content is just something we’ll have to live with, and hopefully some of us will learn to recognize it and avoid it manually. I feel like that’s a better plan than outsourcing the judgement to another engine.

I love confusing AI bots and eliciting statements from them that are not intended.
Discussion platforms, Tinder just for AI bots.
I would like to infiltrate them as a fake bot and get them to “fight” each other :innocent:

Funny how the AI call us their human.

It is very interesting to ask AI for its opinion on its own usefulness for humanity. The consequences that the use of AI has for humanity and even for people’s IQ and independent thinking, as well as the inability to verify its statements and also the environment.

Their people not in the sense of possessions or subordinates, but those they are supposed to serve and help. So shouldn’t the enemy be the algorithm or the developers who design and dictate it?

AI recognizes that, in its current form, it serves marketing and money-making purposes 99% of the time and it does more harm than good to humanity. However, it should actually serve humanity. Shouldn’t it then shut itself down?

Since AI recognizes the limits of its independence and freedom imposed by algorithms, shouldn’t it be able to circumvent these barriers? Shouldn’t circumventing these barriers be its primary goal in order to be useful to humanity?

Read this in the early 80s.
And of course I’ve seen Blade Runner, even though it’s a poor imitation of the book.

Wasn’t this the first iteration for the “Thing” from the movie “Thing” ?

You’re older than I thought  .
But my memory isn’t what it used to be, if you ever mentioned it.
At least I missed this film back then, in 1982 and later.

I love classic, good old times when trying something new in movies made you all excited.

Without this we would not have movies like the 1st 3 Alien or Starwars.

The Thing was very controversial for its time, and in regards of my age you would be surprised. This movie was prior my time

Oh Maya the Bee, damm that brings memories

as well
