✅ System health check passed. No issues found.

I don’t know what this conflict is, did a cursory search of the forums and didn’t see anything similar. I feel like I shouldn’t remove the hardware profile but best to ask I guess.

Please do not post pictures from the terminal. Terminal output belongs in a code block. Thank you.

I advise against installing the 590 drivers for the Pascal GPU; the appropriate 580 drivers have been dropped into the AUR. Your issue is related to this:

Please wait for now. Perhaps @TNE is already working on an automated solution for the problem? :slightly_smiling_face:

What you re suggesting is not a fix at all. You cannot update drivers to the AUR packages as it either breaks dependencies or does not satisfy them. Been trying all day. Also, Octopi refuses partial updates, so now, it’s just a matter of time until discord and steam stop working.

I haven’t suggested any fix at all. Just wait until there is a workable solution (e.g. adding the 580 drivers to the Chaotic-AUR or whatever). Furthermore, octopi is not recommended for updating the system.

If you have an affected Nvidia GPU and need the proprietary drivers, you are free to try removing garuda-hardware-profile-nvidia-closed and all Nvidia leftovers and installing the nvidia-580xx-dkms drivers from the AUR.

Or you can wait for a statement from the Garuda Team on this topic. It’s your decision.

A fix and the needed automations for it to apply has been published:

To update using this fix, simply run:

garuda-update

as normal.

Make sure to pay attention to any update notices as well as the garuda-health output. It may be necessary to switch to a different NVIDIA driver based on the garuda-health recommendation, depending on your GPU. If you get an all clear, there should be nothing to worry about.
