Not getting back free storage after deleting steam game

Hello, I just deleted Tekken 7 on steam to get some free space, I had 41GB of free space before, and still I got only 41GB. I restarted my laptop, I don't get my free space back, what to do?

Did you empty your trash cache?

My trash is empty in Dolphin

Try a BTRFS balance.

If you have Stacer which is available and I use ... clean your drive of unwanted items

I did, also used stacer, seems like anything I delete on my system, I don't get free space back...

See if this link helps as I'm not a gamer, but this is directed at the issue

After uninstalling games, they still take up hard drive space

or

unistalled game still taking disk space

@Bubby's got the jist of it. Basically, your Linux file allocation table does not know what Steam has (or has not) done. It just sees a big block of reserved space. Until it is released.

Bubby gave you everything you need.

Once in a while I delete that particular .config/Steam folder. It's amazing how unnecessarily large it can grow.

Better watch out @c00ter, you'll get kicked out of the "Grumpy Old Men Society" if you start sounding too warm and cuddly.
