From GRUB you could restore the latest working snapshot, if there was space before installation.
Otherwise from a live USB, you might be able to mount your system partition and make some space.
You might also be able to see (and delete some of) your snapshots in the btrfs assistant.
You could also try to chroot, but it shouldn’t be needed after trying the above suggestions.
I tried to restore a snapshot, tried various, all had same result, boots to login screen but then i get a small window from plasma, warning of no space and it just then continues to tepeat the warning.
This is why i asked if i could delete a snapshot from the Grub menu.
I will go and find my GarudaUSB and see if i can delete that way…
This problem is likely to keep happening unless you enlarge the Garuda system partition or install Garuda on a larger drive. With the cost of storage drives so low these days, it is really best to avoid this issue by installing on adequately large drive in the first place.
Constantly having to manage your free space is really no fun, and nether is trying to fix an unbootable system. As the saying goes, you can either pay now, or you’ll pay later.
I’m with TBG, I did let cleanup go for a month or so, but I was about to install Dragon’s Dogma 2 this morning and decided to clean up first (necessary), I cleared about 50% of my 500 GB ssd (older drive). We’re messy lol, but I am thinking I’m ready to move to the newer and much larger drive.
Total space on this PC is about 10TB, no reason to be parsimonious these days.
