No Boot After Nvidia Proprietary Driver Install

I am stuck at loading the initial ramdisk whenever I boot after installing the Nvidia proprietary drivers. I have managed to do restore the snapshots, but this same issue occurs whenever I install the drivers. How can I install the Nvidia drivers in a way that won't cause booting issues?

Try switching to a different kernel before installing the drivers and see if you have better luck. For example:

sudo pacman -Syu linux linux-headers

Reboot and select the new kernel from advanced boot options in the grub menu.

Unfortunately, this didn't work. It is giving the exact same issue as it booting from the standard kernel is.

I actually was using the default zen kernel. I must've accidently restored a snapback using the lts kernel. I ended up reinstalling dkms and nvidia-dkms, but now its stuck on Console: switching to colour frame buffer device.

Weird, I managed to boot using the lts kernel despite it not working earlier. I guess reinstalling the dkms did the trick. Thanks for the help.
