Meta key not working from USB keyboard

This is kind of a weird random issue. Meta key works from the laptop's keyboard; but not from an external USB keyboard!? Meta doesn't open the start menu, and none of the Meta shortcuts work. Unless using the laptop keyboard.

Any fix for this?

No.

Which model?

Have you looked in the manual?
There are keyboards that do not work with Linux, the best is to write to the support and ask.

My old Logitech G15 had a hardware switch that disabled the Windows key. Non-functioning keys were a feature.

All other special keys (volume, media) work, and the Meta key works under Zorin OS.

Keyboards like that typically have a "game mode" where the meta key is completely disabled. This feature is useful for machines that run Windows, because pressing meta will shut down your game and open the start menu in order to respond to pressing the meta key.

It looks like your "game mode" is toggled with a special button that looks like this:

Give it a press and see if it helps.

It's just that button LOL.

I shouldn't be too quick to judge Logitech or Linux.

Everything works as intended. Thanks guys
