Pamac is totally inferior to pacman IMO. Any GUI package manager not utilizing pacman is never going to have the reliability of Pacman.
Why whine and wail about pamac, when pacman is the gold standard you should be using in the Arch world. If you are too lazy to learn how to use pacman (not that difficult) then perhaps your basic skillset and motivation to learn is what is “crap” in this case.
Pamac is really only there as a set of training wheels to learn how to use a package manager and the AUR with Arch. Once you are familiar with how package management in Arch works, if you want the utmost reliability remove the training wheels and use pacman for updating your system.
Any shiny GUI package manager is only best for browsing for new packages you’re unfamiliar with. Perhaps use it for occasional single package installs or removal, but never rely on a GUI for updating your system IMO.
Learn how to update your system from the terminal if you desire system stability. Pamac is like driving a bottom of the line Volkswagen, wheras Pacman is a Rolls Royce for reliability.
