Hi

I try to configure the keyboard layout from Spanish to Latin-American Spanish, but after each reboot it returns to the default Spanish

Thank you very much

thanks=)

please Add your latinoamerican spanish to it.
Dont delete Spanish.
After you added your latinoamerican spanisch please press APPLY.
Then you see left beside the layout names 3 Stripes like a menu symbol.
Move your latinoamercan spanisch to first Position and APPLY again then reboot to see an effect.

It returns to Spanish and Latin-American doesn’t appear

Make sure to order them properly, when Plasma reboots it defaults back to the 1st layout on top.

Yes I do, but Latin-American disappears after reboot.

maybe you can try to chance this in those file.it works on my Garuda without issues.
I tried with german,uk and your latino amercano spanish.

take a look to this file and chance the marked to latam and safe it (ctrl+s safe shortcut).
Then reboot.

file with your account name . /home/yourname/.config/ copy paste to dolphin and replace your name.

Hi
I tried this but doesnt work, the file returns as it was before (es)
The worst part is that it messed with kdewallet and ask me the password after reboot in order to have internet, more wasting time (besides changing layout)
the file is the same, but kdewallet just messed

hi ksso,

thats sounds wired.i can chance it and after reboot its the given language code.I also dont have issues with Kdewallet to ask me for wifi password.

i dont know is it a themes issue to try a other themes like Dragonized

or just an idea.

do the chance again in the text file and safe it.

before reboot build initramfs new with

sudo dracut-rebuild

when its keep the file after a reboot it would be nice.

Go to ~/.config/ and delete the kxkbrc file.
Open the KDE-Settings → Keyboard and add the layout “Spanish (Latin American)” again → Apply (at this moment the kxkbrc will be recreated) and close the Settings. Then reboot and check if it works.

If not, post the content of your kxkbrc here.
