back on downloads.html there are 2 options to d.l. kde
the basic Dr460nized and the gamming edition. i am not showing the black security edition
has this option been discontinued??

Yes.
I would guess not. If you found something like that, it would be very out of date.
Instead, install the DE you wish to use and then add the BA repo after the installation. Then add whatever tools you wish.
There is an option in the Setup Assistant that will help you with this (just tick the checkbox).
