Journal Errors - openlinkhub

Not sure what is going on, removed these 99-corsair* files as OpenLinkHub app developer and I have resolved issue with Corsair devices.

These files have been removed from the udev/rules.d folder, but for some reason it still shows in Journalctl as warning/error flags after restarting udev daemon, and rebooting PC.

Check the date. Old entry?

no this is after i flushed journalctl. Timestamp for some reason is incorrect, 9 hrs ahead. It is now 17:39.

Ignore it. :slight_smile:

How do you do it?

I did another journalctl flush and rebooted PC, even the timestamp changed.

take a look also there
SYSTEMD_FILE=“/usr/lib/systemd/system/OpenLinkHub.service”

file doesnt exist in that directory but exists in /etc/systemd/system

take a look there

user = openlinkhub inside install.sh
folder /opt/openlinkhub exist ?
one question
how removed ?

USER_TO_CHECK=“openlinkhub”

USER=$USER_TO_CHECK is used in lieu of user= for isntall.sh. is this ok or should i replace?

/opt directory exists

manual uninstall method

Maybe i’m misinterpreting the/s installscript/s.
Standard should be after your deinstall “openlinkhub” the service doesn®t exist.
what say console : systemctl status openlink
if exist : yes → disable the service: systemctl disable openlink → reboot
look journal and ?
other method
Myself, i use opctopi only for infos.
You have paru installed. (only)
Open console and first update system with: update → reboot
install openlink again about console : paru -S openlinkhub
Now you see exactly what is installed and where. (inside the console or the log file).
Or take a look inside octopi what is installed (over tab “files”, perhaps make a screenshot to compare after deinstall )
deinstall then with: pacman - R openlinkhub → compare all is delete → reboot
take a look in journal and ?

i am noticing a discrepancy with my journal. It outputs incorrect timestamp.

Also i try to run ‘clear cache’ it returns dbus x11 error

uninstalled old version thoroughly and that error still showed up. I think it is the cache messing up.

See link for error relating to clear cache, could this be related?

Side Note: OpenLinkHub runs fine after logging in as expected, this error seems to be redundant.

dbus x11 error → you use wayland as wm :upside_down_face:

your
sudo journalctl --flush --rotate --vacuum-time=1s

rotate + vacuum together = no function ?
(my knowledge = no, but i know also since version 227 it should work
)
try
sudo journalctl --rotate
sudo journalctl --vacuum-time=1s

my understanding is that im using xwayland which is wayland passed thru x11. trying those now

i ran both of these commands and it cleared with “no entries” but when i rebooted. It came back just the same, if not worse with verbose
