Garuda (2.6.5-1):
  System install date: 2022-07-21
  Last full system update: 2022-08-02
  Is partially upgraded: No
  Relevant software: NetworkManager
  Windows dual boot: No/Undetected
  Snapshots: Timeshift (maybe)
  Failed units: plymouth-deactivate.service

as you can see, this is per a recent overall garuda-upgrade and yay -Syu[because anxiety, don't ask lolol]

I've tried both firefox and google-chrome-stable browsers, after several reboots && shutdown now's, attempting streams on youtube, netflix, and a less-than-kosher streaming site i'll let you wonder about. video widgets/components load fine -- ads, previews, and the like, but then i go to actually throw the stream and get pretty much continuous loading icons/failure notifications. just curious if anyone's experiencing similar issues and/or if i'm just dumb and am over-looking something. any feedback appreciated!!

cheers!!

Welcome

A pious wish

Just use update or garuda-update, there is no garuda-upgrade

Do you change snapper to timeshift?

It’s not really a benchmark, but I have 47923 bogomips here on my weak laptop, and no problems.

You should try it with a WM like i3wm or sway and not KDE. I think your CPU is overloaded with it.
Start top or htop in the terminal and look at the values.

BTW, check in garuda-assistant, performance/powersave settings.

Try turning off all sound servers except Alsa and PipeWire.

To update your AUR packages with a normal update, pass the -a flag.

garuda-update -a
