Is there any way to move window buttons to the right of the top bar OR back to the windows itself?

Hello guys!

I've started using Garuda Linux yesterday and I'm amazed by the modern looks and usability of the OS!

That said, I'm having trouble figuring out if there's a way to move the window buttons (minimize, maximize, close) from the left to the right in the top bar? OR if I can disable the buttons in the top bar completely and have them appear on windows when maximized (the same as they do when the window is not maximized)?

Just to be clear, I know how to change this on the windows themselves trough Settings, but I'm talking about the top bar (well, the taskbar).

This is what I see now:

I'd like to move it to the right, next to the clock, or better yet, disable it completely and have it appear on the window itself, as if it was not maximized.

I hope this makes sense, but please let me know if there's any further information I can provide.

Any help on this would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
Olat

Just do a rightclick on the plasmoids (the widgets) to edit settings - the top bar has 3 of those.
There are settings to disable the automatic removal of the window buttons on maximize. Also you can do a rightclick on the Latte panel (where the plasmoids are located on) and reorder/remove them.

Hi @dr460nf1r3 ! Thank you so much for the quick reply!

This is exactly what I was looking for! You've basically answered both my questions.

For anyone who tries doing the same, just right click on the top bar and select Configure Latte.

The following screen appears:

You need to deselect: "Support borderless maximized windows in different layouts"

Thanks again!

AM I missing something... I want to move them to the right instead of the left.. the mentioned setting does nothing for me in terms of the location of the action buttons. They stay on the left. :disappointed:

Ya'll aren't listening to the man.

Open applications menu. Type windows, click on 'Window Decorations'....

You'll see your window theme, instead go to the 2nd toolbar at the top, called 'Titlebar Buttons'.

Now simply drag n' drop the Close, Minimize, and Maximize Icons from left to right, click apply. Then do yourself a favor and add "applications menu" to the top left (a la Windows). Ta da! Only thing is in certain DE, like Dragonized, when you are expanded, the icons will go back to the left.. Now if someone can tell me how to fix that, that would be cool
