Is Firefox deprecated?

Hello, Everyone. My Firefox isn’t working right. Some sites don’t open correctly, including this one, and many sites warn that my browser is outdated, including this one. Is anyone else having problems with firefox? I searched in here but didn’t find anything. I just don’t want to waste time trying to fix it if it’s happening to everyone…

Firefox isn’t deprecated.

I am not getting any warnings.

A couple of questions:

  • What version of Firefox are you using?
  • Are you using any add-ons that cause your browser to report as something different than it really is?

I’m not on the laptop now, but if it’s just mine, I’ll fix it. I suddenly remember having to spoof the user agent a few weeks ago to get a download meant for windows.I just recently saw a tutorial by jonathan for fixing firefox if I need it. Thanks for the help, @dalto .

I bet this is your issue. Did you set your user agent to an older version of firefox that sites are reading and then thinking your browser is out of date?

I got this fixed by resetting firefox.

  1. Close Firefox

  2. Run

rm -rf ~/.cache/mozilla ; rm -rf ~/.mozilla
  1. Open Firefox

I had broken it by making changes to about:config.

that is quite the nuclear option of dealing with some few broken settings haha.
