Install garuda safely

I just wanted to know if I can install Garuda LXQT with the "replace partition" option and get a dual boot without any trouble

Possibly, but that would depend on if the OTHER OS is in meglomaniac mode at the time and bent on taking over the world.

Oh I don't think so, I have an old installation of W10 made by myself, it's not a PC with an OEM installation, and I have removed all the bloatware.

so you know what you are doing then?

I supose so, I have already done it some other times with another distros, but I wasn't sure if the "replace partition option" would install grub with a dual boot for the other OS. The other times I think the installer wasn´t calamares or was just a different version with less options than now...

Yeah, you can. I did exactly that and have been using Garuda on the same install for a long time now.

No.

If you know what you’re doing you’ll be fine, just don’t expect full support from the community, not everyone dual boots afterall.

Ok then. Thanks to you all!
I want to leave W10 installed because I use a very friendly DAW software for what I can´t find an alternative in Linux. Not even exists an alternative in W10 itself, so I want to keep on using it because it's the best DAW that I found for home level

A 2nd SSD or HDD would solve all your problems. One for Windows and one for Linux.
