Ibdisplay-info/gamescope -- dependency issues (sway/hyprland)

hi all,

think this is just an upstream issue but just flagging it FYI (not requesting anything to be done)

i like to use garuda gamer after doing full install/update after a freshinstall but now due to a depency issue with gamescope vs libdisplay-info - gamescope fails to install.

cli pacman install gamescope faces the same issue. I only had the issue initially on hyprland but now after reinstalling sway last few days its there too now.

This was the main reason i moved back from hypr to sway because seems i need gamescope for certain games

Thanks guys your work is much appreciated as always

Please paste the terminal input and output into the thread if you are having an issue so we can take a look. Your garuda-inxi is missing as well.

Hi sorry here you go. I followed the solution provided in the previous thread but it did not work due to being a different problem i believe.

Hmm, you said it was a different issue than the other thread but it looks like the same one.

Try to overwrite the problematic file during the update:

garuda-update -- --overwrite /usr/bin/di-edid-decode
