Speaking of which, I feared that I had bricked my laptop completely after trying out arch-secure-boot (GitHub - maximbaz/arch-secure-boot: UEFI Secure Boot for Arch Linux + btrfs snapshot recovery). Turned out my bios did not allow me to select an efi file outside of /boot/efi/EFI, causing Secure Boot to fail. To make matters worse, it seemed I was unable to disable Secure Boot at some point, making me a bit desperate. Fortunately this turned out not to be the case (the BIOS GUI was just a bit silly). When I was finally able to boot into grub again, I encountered a grub specific error message. Naturally, I looked for answers using a regular search engine, and guess which forum I stumbled upon: (Error: symbol `grub_debug_malloc' not found after system update with new GRUB version).
