Hi everyone!

I've noticed a problem with my HP Omen running Garuda Dragonized - the battery is not charging. Power adapter is fine - since when I switch to Windows, the battery will get charged without problems. I've noticed only today because I accidentally half-removed the charging jack and got an error that my battery is at 10%. When I plugged in the adapter, it drained to additional 7% and stayed at that.

The battery condition should be fine, laptop is two years old but I almost never use it unplugged.

Thanks in advance for any help in this matter.

I would try rebooting and see what happens :grinning:

Make sure your bios is up to date and test a few alternate kernels.

You could also try installing tlp.

After installing tlp (needed to remove performance-tweaks), the battery started charging again.

@TilliDie Yeah, forgot to restart the system after update, although I usually do that to make sure the system will boot into a working state again.

Thanks to both of you!
