Are you using Snapper Tools to delete the snapshots? There's also settings in Garuda Assistant for snapper as well. There's a recent post related to this, perhaps something in there could help
As for storage management, I've grown to like gdu. It's a nice little terminal app that will list out largest files on top, and gives you simple options to delete, open in a file manager, etc.
