I was (and since rollback, still am) getting notifications from Garuda System Maintenance system tray notifications that the keyring failed to update

Yes, I also get all these messages and problems when I downgrade, but graphically it’s definitely better for you not to update right away.

Heya! As per Phoning home in Garuda Update (shocking), all Garuda System Maintenance versions older than 3.1.0 are unsupported. The web infrastructure for the “phoning home” endpoints has been removed, causing Garuda System Maintenance to assume an update is needed. However:

The feature doesn’t work anymore and does nothing but try and fail to update the keyrings when the system is first installed.

It hasn’t worked for months, and that is what you are seeing here. I will see if I am able to remotely silence these notifications. (Tagging in @FGD)
