The title pretty much sums up the issue I have, but I have a fresh install of Garuda Linux Dragonized, and I turned off the “Auto-start application” in the App settings of Garuda-Rani, despite that, every time I start my PC it still opens up, I tried looking for a similar issue online and on the forums but couldn’t find anything.
Is there an entry in System Preferences → Autostart?
This is not unique to Rani, at least if you have “session restore” enabled in the System Settings. If you had Rani open when you shut down your computer, the “open in last session” feature will restart the program automatically at login. This is not a bug, it is a feature, (if session restore is enabled).
Simply exclude Rani from automatically being restarted in System Settings.
Hope that’s your issue, as it’s easily corrected if it’s the session restore feature responsible for this.
I had that disabled + I made sure to close Rani before restarting, it still auto-starts despite that.
Okay so, turned out the Garuda-Rani still was in the “Auto-start” section despite remembering I removed it when I was setting up my system, I just made sure to remove it again properly plus with both the solutions provided above, now it works and doesn’t auto start, sorry if I wasted any time and I will try my best to double-check everything the next time and again, apologizes, and thanks for all the help!
