Garuda install on a AMD Advantage Laptop

Before I used a Laptop with Nvidia Intel. But Nvidia Optimus was really annoying me, so decided I buy a Laptop with “AMD Advantage”, cause on the Internet I often read, AMD had an optimal support for Linux Kernel. After a while, I am a little disappointed, the support not seems so great that I was thinking. All concentration on support for gaming hardware seems to be focused on NVIDIA and Intel Hardware. So if I get some recommendation or hint, I am very pleased.

My steps:

  • On the mkinitcpio.conf cancel intel_agp i915 radeon nouveau, cause I want just use the proprietary amdgpu driver. But my question is, is there any AMD Modul, the give a performance hit? Like amd_agp ore any else ?
Games seems prefer the open readon driver, but it makes sens, to run readon and amdgpu together? I read on the Arch Wiki amdgpu, when it is write amdgpu first, it dosen`t load readon, but when i make lsmod, readon modul again listed.
  • I uninstall opencl-mesa and install opencl-amd. Darktable works with, what seems optimal, cause normaly works just with opencl-mesa
  • Also with cooling system I had no experinces, to config manually. I control the temperature with sensores and they seem to be fine, but I would prefer in the hot summer period to be more secure
