Foreign/AUR package notification, I find things that seem to be remnants of the KDE Plasma 5.27 → 6.0 update (other than FreeFileSync installed by me). I remember these were not present before 6.0.

(2/6) Foreign/AUR package notification
freefilesync-bin 13.7-1
garuda-dr460nized-next 4.1.1-1
khotkeys 5.27.10-1
kwin-scripts-forceblur 0.6.1-1.3
plasma5-applets-eventcalendar 76-1.4

I just want want to know, if these are still needed/used. For educational purposes, of course.

That pacman hook is basically helping you in the second part of this maintenance task.
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/System_maintenance#Check_for_orphans_and_dropped_packages
It is up to you to understand if you still need those packages. Usually not.
If they have been dropped from the Arch repo to the AUR, you can still use them. If they do not even appear in the AUR anymore, chances are they are no longer needed or don’t even work. The last chance is to retrieve them from their upstream site. But this would be really uncommon.

I thought not-needed or dropped packages would go to the Orphaned category. Those I understand can be removed (e.g. via the function in Garuda Assistant).
The issue is I do not know if these have currently any real function and if they can break things.
I will double check the link you have posted. Thanks.
