Noted! I’ll look into this at given time.
I’m already looking into it, I think I have found the issue and am working on a solution.
Would be great to get confirmation of a fix on chaotic-aur/floorp
as of 11.28.0-2.2
or 11.28.0-2.3
build. I can no longer reproduce the crash
Edit: confirming fixed in chaotic-aur/floorp
as of 11.28.0-2.4
I know it’s still in beta, but based on the screenshots others have posted, my startup page and FireDragon Hub don’t look the same at all. I never got the welcome screen either, even after deleting my profiles and related folders.
Ugh. That looks very broken haha. Can you get us the output of the browser console pasted to privatebin?
Can confirm the issue in the firedragon-beta AUR package.
While I can not test with Kagi specifically, it should be fixed in v12.0.0-beta.15.
Works perfectly now. Amazing work!
I feel the only thing left that I’vve seen at least is https://firedragon.garudalinux.org/faq/preferences
Since it leads to a 404 other then that I haven’t found anything.
When running via terminal you sometimes see
[ERROR wr_glyph_rasterizer::platform::unix::font] Unable to set glyph size and transform: 23
[ERROR wr_glyph_rasterizer::platform::unix::font] Unable to set glyph size and transform: 23
Crash Annotation GraphicsCriticalError: |[0][GFX1-]: RenderCompositorSWGL failed mapping default framebuffer, no dt (t=47.277) [GFX1-]: RenderCompositorSWGL failed mapping default framebuffer, no dt
[ERROR wr_glyph_rasterizer::platform::unix::font] Unable to set glyph size and transform: 23
But I think its on floorp to fix that if its even a issue as it doesn’t impede browsing. But I bet it’s due to me forcing my own font choice and not letting the website pick.
Will this be available in AUR?
Yes. It will be, just updated the PKGBUILDs, AUR will be updated once PR is merged: Update FireDragon v12 beta packages to v12.0.0-beta.15 (!70) · Merge requests · Garuda Linux 🦅 / PKGBUILDs · GitLab
But this issue will not be fixed yet, but it only affects the firedragon-beta
& firedragon-catppuccin-beta
packages, so just use one of the -bin
ones and it should work.
