I haven't installed Garuda yet. I want to see how well it works. When I open Firedragon it is not fully expanded to full screen. It is missing the buttons in the top left hand corner to expand, contract or shut down the page.

Which DE version? Some tiling WM by chance? Please also post ISO name.
Double-click on the Firedragon header. It will maximize and there will be buttons in upper LH corner. You can minimize, etc. from there.
